Stock Market Savy Sports Site

Lots of sports fans have down time during their work day. During this down time they read articles on ESPN, CBS Sports, or other similar sites. Athletexchange.com is a sports website based on how the stock market is run. A player performs well, his stock rises. A player disappoints, his stock falls. They introduce the concept of mutual funds as well into the system. You are given a certain amount of dollar to start your portfolio, and from then on you can win contests, or just trade to grow your portfolio.

While this kills certain amounts of time during the work day, there is certainly a purpose to this site. The more you earn (in fake money) the more real prizes you can obtain. The beginning prize starts at a $100 gift certificate of your choice, to a 50" plasma television to watch your sports on.

Considering this site is 100% free, it certainly is worth a look to try your hand at some great prizes. Especially on those dead days at work.

Another Season Down

Well another Patriots season is in the books, and this season has ended prematurely for Patriots fans. In Boston one major thing that comes out in the media is the blame game. Who's fault is it? Fingers are going to be pointed, and the same old media response will happen.....Trade Brady, trade Moss! When Boston teams perform, the media and fans cheer them on, when they don't, they're ready to ship them out. Tom Brady had the second best season of his career (second to 2007) and Randy Moss was double covered ALL SEASON, and still held his own. Watching Tom Bradys press conference, he's a true leader, and an excellent team mate. Boston should feel proud to have such a classy, elite leader. Tom Brady Postgame Press Conference - 1/10/2010

Boston had wondered why Ted Williams wouldn't tip his cap.

Another low risk high reward for Theo!

Adrian Beltre, the newest on Theo Epsteins list of "low risk high reward" players has agreed to a one year $9 million contract with a $5 second year option. The deteriorated Beltre is like another team signing the Sox third baseman Mike Lowell. The most recent low risk high rewards signings by Theo are John Smoltz, Brad Penny, Billy Wagner, and the addition in 2010 of Boof Bonsor. Is this the same general manager that has ended an 86 year championship drought? Is this the same general manager who won the Boston Red Sox two World Series rings this decade? Or is it time to send Theo Epstein and his gorilla suit packing?

Ammunition for the Boston Red Sox fan

Yankees Suck! The Unofficial Guide for Fans Who Hate, Despise, Loath, and Detest Those Bums From the Bronx by Jim Gerard

For any Red Sox fan who has that nagging Yankee fan in their life, this is a quick read (1-2 hours) to provide ammunition against the fan of "the greatest team in sports history".

Every Sox fan has that nagging Yankee fan, and vice versa. This could perhaps settle some debates regarding the two teams.

This book can be found on Amazon used for a penny. Very good investment for the wealth of knowledge you'll receive from it.

Wes Welker Injury

Reports are saying that Wes Welker has a torn ACL, and MCL. Of course this isn't looking good for the New England Patriots going into the first round of the playoffs. The Patriots will match up against the Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium for the first round. The Patriots won the first game between the two teams on October 4th 2009, by 6 points. Welker had 6 receptions for 48 yards without a touchdown that game. Brady didn't utilize Welker the way he had in many other games this season. He had one touchdown pass to Moss, and the rest was rushing. it is a shame Welker has gone down at such an important time during the season. But Tom Brady is one of the best playoff quarterbacks in the league, and still has better receivers than he has had in his 3 superbowl championship victories. Randy Moss is still healthy, and hungry to show the media he isn't the baby they're making him out to be. This injury shows what champions are made out of.
